I have a question about texting on the samsung rant?

okay, so i got the phone today, and i like using smileys while texting alot:)


but everytime i do a smiley like that^ it shows up as a yellow smiley, which is annoying. is there a way to change it?

I don't have the phone, but you could try this test:





I believe the Samsung Rant is with Sprint. Get a friend off of your address book who doesn't have the Samsung Rant or Sprint. Have him/her stand next to you. Text something random to them and type in this smiley --%26gt; :). According to what you said, it should turn into the yellow smiley. Send it to them.





When they get the message, ask them if they can see that yellow smiley on their phone. Chances are, the smiley will probably show up as this --%26gt; :) on their phone.





I think the yellow smiley is only visible when you send a message to someone who also has a Samsung Rant.
