Why do people think atheists only come here to rant and convince others there isn't a God?

Do you ever think that atheists might enjoy a good theological question every now and again?





It's not our faults that you guys can't think of anything good to ask besides ';if we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?'; and ';if atheists don't believe in God, where did they get their morals?';Why do people think atheists only come here to rant and convince others there isn't a God?

YA is hardly the place to find a good theological question. I am not an atheist or religious I don't know what I would be agnostic? I find a lot of hypocrisy, bashing, and crazy questions from both sides. Not all religious people come up with the same lame questions you stated. I have met some that can put up a very decent argument. I really do like learning both sides opinions because both have valid points. Maybe you have just come across the ones who really don't know what they are talking about in the first place.
The evidence is clear; just take a sampling of Atheistic entries (Questions and Answers) -- 99% are rant, mock and scoff; rarely ever any more do Atheist's Questions %26amp; Answers invite ';good theological'; discussion (it has actually always been rare, but now even more so).





In all the time I've been on this forum, I've encountered only a handful of Atheists who conducted themselves decently and maturely.





Presently I scan through more than a half dozen pages of questions on R%26amp;S before I come to one that seems honest. It used to be I could easily find a half dozen questions PER PAGE worth answering.

The only reasons for an athiest to come to a religion fourm are either to mock and stir up trouble or they really deap down know that there is a God and they are still searching for answers. Too many athiest know their Bibles too well for there to be any other reasons.
personally, i'm atheist, and i like having religious debates with people. mostly because the other person ends up looking like a moron.

I mean, really, if they believe we're going to hell then why don't they just leave us alone? They can ';go to heaven'; and we can ';go to hell'; (hehe) and everyone can just shut up. if free will is as free as they believe it to be, I suppose we have the choice not to believe in a god.
I have never seen either of those questions on here. Maybe thiest bashing questions like this one are where people get that idea? And if you really think the only questions ever on here are that idiotic then why are you still searching for a good theological question?

They hang here because no body else will talk with them.


I can ask a religious question on many venues here. And I get answers.


I notice if Atheists do this.

No, this is the worst of all the questions: ';if you don't believe in God, then what DO you believe in'; lol.
they are also convinced that god exists. they seem like they are fairly easy to convince
I do wish this site would be retooled to encourage a bit higher level of q and a, or start a separate debate site.
People keep asking questions to atheists or about atheism and then wonder why we are here.
I'm here to learn and to share what I know.

We observe. We (informally) tabulate the number of cliched atheist responses. We draw conclusions based entirely upon the evidence.





And we see, again and again, that that's the primary thing atheists do in this section. I've yet to see an atheist want to engage in a good theological or philosophical discussion.





In general, most won't bother to read comprehensive answers. Most aren't open-minded enough to think that other people can logically, reasonably, intelligently arrive at a conclusion different than the one they have.
I think Atheists do believe in something, so they come here in maybe hopes that someone can or will prove to them that God does exist. Otherwise why come to a place where its a topic your against. I am against child abuse and alot of other things so you would for sure n ot see me hanging out in the pro child abuse section.
the sad part is that we can not talk about the good things in life cause the atheist critizize everything that is good.

lol, alright, but most of the time atheists are just dicks who are essentially ';shoving their beliefs'; in the face of theists. They're doing the same exact thing they accuse the theists of doing.
